The Ripa Ladrang Foundation held a fundraiser at the studio of world-renowned pop artist Peter Max; a philanthropist, a spiritual yogi and an amazing human being who played a key role in bringing yoga to America in the seventies.

On a cloudy, warm evening, Rinpoche came to speak at the Tibet House in New York City, which shares the art, culture, heritage and systems of spiritual philosophy of Tibet with the world.

Gyetrul Jigme Rinpoche’s one-year solitary retreat was successfully completed on Lhosar, the Tibetan New Year. Radiant, peaceful and smiling, one could see that Rinpoche had come into himself after a year in prayer and practice for the benefit of all sentient beings.

The recent earthquake has not only claimed thousands of lives and displaced many people; it has created havoc in communities and destroyed centuries of history. The rebuilding effort for Nepal and all its history, plus strong monuments of faith for its people will take many months of strength and effort to repair.

Gyetrul Jigme Rinpoche will be travelling to New York during May 15 – May 23, 2015. Over this time he will be discussing teachings and giving talks at the Tibet House in New York City.
