Celebration of Losar and Weekend of Ngondro Practice

February 19 – 22, 2015

Lama Tenzin and the Team of Ripa International Center are pleased to invite you to the celebrations which we are preparing for the Tibetan New Year. We wish to complete this beautiful feast with a Guru Rinpoche practice and dedicate it to Dungsey Gyetrul Jigme Rinpoche, for the end of his retreat. This Losar festival will be followed by a weekend of Ngondro (Preliminaries) accumulations guided by Lama Tenzin. You are equally welcome to participate, if you wish to take advantage of these three days to advance in your personal accumulations.


19th of February, Actual Losar Day:

10:00 Khatak offering and Chemar offering (tsampa mixed with butter and sugar)
10:20 Gesar Lhasang followed by Tibetan tea, sweet rice and Khamsey (biscuits)
12:30 Traditional Tibetan lunch.
17:00 to 20:00 Guru Rinpoche practice, Protectors, Narak Kongchak and Samantabhadra prayer

20th to 22nd, Sangha and Ngondro Weekend:

Friday 20th:
19:00 to 20:00 Protectors and Samantabhadra prayer

Saturday 21st:
6:30 to 7:30 Full Ngondro practice
9:30 to 10:30 Accumulation of prostrations, refuge and bodhichita.
10:45 to 12:15 Gesar Lhasang (If the weather is good, we could do it outside)
14:30 to 15:30 Lingdro dance training
15:45 to 17:15 Teachings of “The words of my perfect teacher” (Patrul Rinpoche) in connection with Ngondro
17:30 to 19:00 Guru Rinpoche practice with Protectors and tsok (including performances offering by the sangha) and Samantabhadra prayer

Sunday 22nd:
6:30 to 7:30 Full Ngondro practice.
9:30 to 11:00 Accumulation of prostrations, refuge and bodhichita.
11:15 to 12:15 Protectors and Samantabhadra prayer.
