Week One (July 23 – 30): Revealing Our Inner Goodness
Dungsey Gyetrul Jigme Rinpoche

During this week of teachings open to all, Gyetrul Jigme Rinpoche will show how unveiling our basic goodness is the foundation for compassionate engagement with the world. Through an intensive program of teachings and meditation techniques, participants will gain insight into the philosophical and experiential Buddhist approach. This underpins the development of Metta, Maitri or loving-kindness and the direct impact that its practice can have in the relationship to one’s self, to others and to the world at large. Daily YOGOM® and meditation sessions will enable us to integrate the effective power and methods of Buddhism.

Week Two (July 30 – August 6): Yeshe Tsogyal Drupcho

Dungsey Gyetrul Jigme Rinpoche and Dungsey Lhuntrul Dechen Gyurmey Rinpoche

This Drupcho offers a rare opportunity to completely focus our body, speech and mind on the spiritual path, resulting in achievement and merit. During this Drupchö, practitioners invite the Dakini Yeshe Tsogyal which embodies healing energy, helping to create a space in which emotions can dissolve in order to reveal their inherent quality of creativity and joy.

Week Three (August 6 – 13): Celebrate 2016 as the Year of the Fire Monkey and Guru Rinpoche Day Celebration

His Eminence Namkha Drimed Rabjam Rinpoche, Dungsey Gyetrul Jigme Rinpoche and Dungsey Lhuntrul Dechen Gyurmey Rinpoche

Guru Rinpoche Empowerment and Celebration

The Tsog Bum is achieved by invoking the blessings of Guru Rinpoche and the assistance of his entourage of deities. It helps transform disturbed energies into positive outcomes. This practice is specifically undertaken to heal and bring harmony, peace, wisdom and compassion to all beings. Engaging in a practice of Tsog offering helps release mental projections and ignorance as well as ego clinging, which often manifests as anger, attachment, pride and envy, thus allowing one to fully enter into non-dual wisdom. The ultimate result is peace, positive circumstances and bliss, leading us further toward enlightenment as we dedicate the merit to all beings.

Guru Rinpoche Day Celebration

August 13th marks the 10th day of the Monkey month of the Monkey year, an extremely auspicious occasion that only happens once every twelve years! It is believed that the blessings of Guru Rinpoche are particularly powerful and invoking him brings instant blessings to those present. The Ripa International Center will celebrate this occasion with the traditional Tibetan Cham ritual. Mask Dances and the Gesar Lingdro Dances will be performed in the exceptional presence of the three Ripa Masters.

Fire Monkey 2016
2016 is the year of the Fire Monkey – Year of Guru Rinpoche – a time in which Guru Rinpoche’s energies are particularly strong and prevalent. It is also the year of Dungsey Gyetrul Jigme Rinpoche, the spiritual director of the Ripa Center, who is blessed by Guru Rinpoche. Supporting him at this time is a particularly poignant and excellent way to help our teachers’ activity flourish.
