The targeted body and breathing exercises of YOGOM ® are a natural transition for the practice of sitting Shamatha meditation, connecting body and mind directly.
Under the inspiration of Gyetrul Jigme Rinpoche, Yogom® was developed through the Buddhist mindfulness method that we prefer to call presence of mind. Yogom® is the anteroom and the threshold of calm abiding meditation. This unique method starts before meditation to facilitate sitting in the physical sense as well as in the psychic sense. Adaptive training is done to ensure that postures are accessible to everyone, as well as rhythmic breathing exercises and a working sitting position, which opens the door to true yoga. The first benefit of the comfort provided in the sitting posture is to fully unlock the road to the more subtle meditation practices. The development of the seat thus naturally continues until achieving the mind of calming abiding through Shamata (Shiné) meditation.
