The third Ripa familial lineage holder, Drubwang Jigme Tsewang Chokdrup was born in the 15th Tibetan Rabjung, the Iron Rabbit Year 1891. He followed as his masters, his honorable father the Drubwang Bhyo Rigdzin. Renowned as an emanation of Dorje Drolo, he had great compassion and incredible power of speech.
Upon taking as his wife,Yungdung Lhamo, daughter of Bonkar family of Riwoche. Dungsey Changchub Shenphen was born to them, but at a young age he departed to benefit others. Again, according to prophesy, that master took the descendent of Drubwang Shakya Shri, Palden Tsomo, as his consort. Thus through this visionary act of great kindness and union, the Ripa familial and dharma lineage was secured. Finally, at the age of 64, in the Wood Horse Year, 1954, Drubwang Jigme Tsewang Chogrub passed away.
