Ripa Ladrang Foundation is a RELIGIOUS CORPORATION and is not organized
for the private gain of any person. It is organized under the Nonprofit
Religious Corporation Law exclusively for religious purposes.
The specific purpose of the corporation is to support, advance, propagate,
and preserve the teaching, practice and study of the Tibetan Buddhist
religion.
Ripa Ladrang Foundation will support Buddhist teaching activities
throughout the United States and the world, with emphasis on teachings
and activities of the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism, and particularly
on the Ripa lineage of Buddhist teachings.
It will support the preservation and propagation of these types of
Buddhist teachings and values including, where applicable, purchasing
collections of artifacts or texts or scriptures, payment of translation
or printing expenses, as well as arranging for and inviting suitably
qualified teachers to assist in executing the aims of the Foundation.
It will provide a base, both spiritually and materially, for Buddhist
Dharma teachings and for spiritual seekers to receive such teachings.
At times, the foundation will conduct specific fundraising activities
to support Nyingma teachings, with a focus on the Ripa lineage, including
but not limited to teachers' expenses, related travel expenses, leasing
or building of facilities to support these activities in the United
States or abroad, educational tools or facilities, or other related
causes requiring economic support from the Foundation or other contributors.
This corporation is organized and operated exclusively for religious
purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3), Internal Revenue Code.
No substantial part of the activities of this corporation shall consist
of carrying on propaganda, or otherwise attempting to influence legislation,
and the corporation shall not participate or intervene in any political
campaign (including the publishing or distribution of statements) on
behalf of any candidate for public office.
