"The ultimate source of happiness and help for all human beings is Buddha Dharma. In order for it to prevail, we must practice and preserve the precious lineage of living wisdom. The monastic environment is therefore necessary. Such a sacred sanctuary radiates positive energy and promotes peace, harmony, happiness, and freedom throughout the universe. Anyone who comes into contact will immediately feel at ease and enjoy serenity, peace, compassion, and wisdom. Rigon Tashi Choeling is a powerful place to experience the "living tradition" of Buddhist Tantra. The environment will inspire and invoke an innate, if hidden, spirituality and help lay a genuine spiritual foundation. Rigon Tashi Choeling strives to recreate the life and accomplishments of past masters and to give birth to new ones."

Rinpoche breaking sacred ground

His Eminence Namkha Rinpoche breaks the sacred ground for Rigon Tashi Choelling Monastery, using the special golden shovel inlaid with double dorjes and ribbons in the colors of the 5 Buddha Families. This shovel is designed after the concept of the golden shovel used by Padmasambhava and King Trison Deutsen in groundbreaking the great Samye Monastery of Tibet.
