News Update from Ripa Ladrang Foundation

We are very pleased to announce that Gyetrul Jigme Rinpoche will be visiting the United States in a few short days.

Rinpoche will arrive in New York on or around June 7. Two Sangha meetings are planned for the New York area; the afternoon of Saturday, June 8th and the morning of Sunday June 9th. Following this, Rinpoche will travel to San Francisco to spend a few days with folks from the western Sanghas. Currently, there are meetings scheduled for the San Francisco area on Saturday, June 15th and Sunday, June 16th. Exact details of his visit are still being finalized. This will most probably not be a formal teaching visit, but rather a time when we can practice together, connect with Jigme Rinpoche and receive his wisdom, guidance and humor.

Of course we are all hoping that His Eminence Namkha Drimed Rinpoche will travel to the United States again this year. We are working on a formal request to the Ripa masters in this regard and will let you all know as soon as we receive news.

New Board of Directors Selected

Expressing much gratitude and recognition for their years of service, Jigme Rinpoche met recently with the departing board members, Iris Anderson, Chris Jones, Myriah McGorrill and Michael Reid. Subsequently, His Eminence and Jigme Rinpoche appointed a new board to take responsibility for the Foundation. Alan Goldstein, Helen Faith, Jennifer Jacobs, Ruth Caplin, Gary Christensen and Richard Diaz have enthusiastically accepted the invitation to join as new directors.

Rinpoche reminded us of the opportunity we all have to further key projects of the Foundation, including:

• Facilitating access to enlightened energy for people in North America;
• Supporting the establishment of a new seat for the Ripa lineage in Pharping,Nepal, and
• Contributing to Dharma work for the benefit of every being.

The new board would like to thank the departing board for all of their efforts and for bringing the Ripa Ladrang Foundation so far in just over 3 years!
